DARIUS
ANDERSON
Darius Anderson, the managing member of Kenwood
Investments, LLC has a distinguished career in real estate, business
and politics over the last twenty years. Darius has been involved
in a variety of real estate development projects including River
West Development in Sacramento, as Chief of Staff of The Yucaipa
Companies, and as the Managing Member of Treasure Island Enterprises,
LLC and Treasure Island Community Development, LLC.
Mr. Anderson founded Kenwood Investments in 1999
to pursue real estate development opportunities. Since then, Kenwood
has managed entitlements for the redevelopment of Treasure Island,
the Sacramento Docks, the Marketplace at Anaheim, El Cerrito BART
Village, Urban America, and Hollywood Park.
Between 1993 and 1998, Darius Anderson served
as Chief of Staff for The Yucaipa Companies, and as Vice President
of External Affairs for Ralphs Grocery Stores, Inc., a Fortune
500 company. During that time, Darius Anderson was responsible
for business development for The Yucaipa Companies, including
property acquisition and development, and for government affairs,
community relations, external corporate communications and public
relations for Ralphs Grocery Stores. He also served as the Executive
Director for the Ralphs/Food 4 Less Foundation.
Mr. Anderson is involved in a variety of charitable activities.
He serves on the Board of Directors of the Jackie Robinson Foundation,
the Robert Toigo Foundation, and the new Chair of the National
Advisory Council at the Institute of Governmental Studies at University
of California, Berkeley. He’s also active in the Big Brothers/Big
Sisters Program and owns world-class collections of both baseball
and Jack London memorabilia.
Darius Anderson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications
from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
JAY WALLACE
Jay Wallace formed Kenwood Investments, LLC in
2000 with Darius Anderson. Mr. Wallace’s real estate experience
spans over 20 years and now includes overseeing all of Kenwood
Investments, LLC’s development projects. Prior to joining
Kenwood Investments, Jay Wallace was a member of the law firms
of Sanger & Olson, Coblentz, Cahen, McCabe & Breyer and
the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, where he specialized
in real estate entitlement, environmental and development law.
Mr. Wallace’s legal career also included a successful litigation
practice on behalf of public and private clients involving the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and other significant
regulatory issues. Mr. Wallace has also previously served in a
variety of political positions for numerous California politicians.
As a member of Kenwood Investments, LLC’s
management, Mr. Wallace is responsible for entitlements, project
feasibility, finance, design, project budgeting and delivery,
negotiations with federal, state and local regulatory bodies,
and community relations. Jay Wallace is also actively involved
in new project acquisition and development. He has successfully
negotiated over $1 billion in real estate transactions, including
residential, retail and entertainment projects. Mr. Wallace has
been the lead developer for Kenwood Investments, LLC’s Treasure
Island redevelopment project.
Mr. Wallace currently serves as a member of the
Board of Directors of the Peninsula Coalition, a consortium of
public and private leaders in the Bay Area, and has previously
served on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Port Commission,
Waterfront Land Use Board and the San Francisco Mission YMCA.
Mr. Wallace is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and
the San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association (SPUR).
Jay Wallace earned a Bachelor’s degree in
Political Science and Philosophy from Pitzer College, Los Angeles
and a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings
College of the Law, San Francisco.
LINO CAMPANILE
Lino Campanile joined Kenwood Investments in early 2007. Mr. Campanile
oversees the implementation of all financial strategies for Kenwood,
including investor relations, economic modeling and forecasting,
cash management, lender and finance relationships, public finance
strategies and supervision of all accounting functions.
Throughout his career, Mr. Campanile, a Certified
Public Accountant, has obtained finance and accounting experience
by working for both real estate companies and public accounting
firms. Mr. Campanile’s experience in the real estate industry
encompasses multi- and single-family residential, office, retail,
mixed use, and hospitality projects.
Prior to joining Kenwood, Mr. Campanile worked
for Lennar Corporation’s Bay Area Urban Division. Lennar
is one of the nation’s largest homebuilders and focuses
on the development of residential communities in 20 states. While
with Lennar, Mr. Campanile managed the financial performance of
a diverse Bay Area portfolio valued at more than $250 million,
with projected revenues of over $1.5 billion. Assets within this
portfolio include some of the region’s largest master planned
and mixed-use communities, including 3 naval base conversions,
multiple condo conversion projects, and high rise condominium
projects located in downtown San Francisco.
Mr. Campanile has worked in partnership with Messrs.
Anderson and Wallace since 2004 on the Treasure Island project.
Mr. Campanile began his career with Arthur Andersen where he served
several clients in the real estate industry.
Mr. Campanile works with youth organizations,
such as the Boy Scouts of America, which help foster and encourage
the development of ethical character and leadership skills of
today’s youth. Mr. Campanile graduated magna cum laude with
a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting
from San Francisco State University. He received his CPA in 2001.
BETHANY FISCHER
Bethany J. Fischer has a background in economic
development and government relations. Her responsibilities at
Kenwood Investments, LLC include property acquisition, entitlements,
project management, negotiations with federal, state and local
regulatory bodies and legislative affairs. She is the project
lead for the development of the Marketplace at Anaheim and the
Sacramento Docks Area, a 23 acre waterfront site in downtown Sacramento,
and the new downtown redevelopment in Hesperia, California.
Miss Fischer served as an Executive Fellow assigned
to the California Technology, Trade and Commerce Agency, the primary
state agency charged with economic development, international
trade and military base retention and reuse. Her Fellowship research
was focused in the area of streamlining state and local government
programs related to military base retention and reuse for the
economic benefit of California communities. At the conclusion
of her Fellowship, Miss Fischer served in the Executive Office
as the Special Assistant to the Undersecretary and Chief Counsel
of the Agency. In 2002, Ms. Fischer moved to Platinum Advisors,
LLC, a separate company owned by Mr. Anderson that is one of the
State of California’s leading state and local government
affairs and legislative policy firms, where she began her long
collaboration with Messrs. Anderson and Wallace.
In addition to her work in Sacramento and now
in San Francisco, Miss Fischer is an active member of the San
Francisco Junior League, the Young Leaders Group of the Urban
Land Institute (ULI), and the San Francisco Planning and Urban
Research Association (SPUR). She also serves as the Secretary
and Treasurer on the board of the Aquarium of the Bay Foundation,
an education and conservation organization dedicated to the San
Francisco Bay.
Bethany Fischer graduated magna cum laude with
a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University
of San Diego and is a candidate for a Masters degree in Business
Administration with the University of California, Berkeley –
Columbia University Executive MBA Program (2007).
